Knowledge sharing

As much as we don't have time on our hands, but I think we can use this blogging as a platform for knowledge sharing - which actually is very critical to our careers. Let's stop working in silos, and share what we know to each other.

Is sharing knowledge across silos really part of your work as a librarian ;)? How do you think it will help you?

Knowledge sharing is more about telling others what you know, in most cases what they don't know. Just as blogging: I didn't know how to blog and you showed us, now I can. that is knowledge sharing. Working in silos means not bothering about what's happening next door, not even being bothered by asking the question "how can I?".
