Most frequently asked question while in the USA:
"What is the most surprising thing you've noticed about our country?"
This question has been asked by almost every person I've met here in the US. And after 8 weeks, I still haven't really come up with an adequate answer.

Well, one thing for sure - everything is beeeeeeeg (big) in the US...ie. big cars, big people; big helpings (esp at Mcdonalds with that mega size cup for your cooldrink...)
For me, the most surprising thing is how ordinary most things are - I feel very much at home with ordinary hard working people who work office hours, drive their cars, worry about the economy and the politics, making ordinary arrangements for lunch or dinner with friends - I relate to most Americans who I met very well, and thats it! This is what is surprising to me-I did not expect it.
